Full description
Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX56NE79, Hut A (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV164267.
(02/05/1950) Hut A has a walling of large stones and turf. At present it is thickly covered with bracken. Diameter 7.0m, wall height 0.6m.

(16/04/1995) Ordnance Survey hut 'A', Gerrard's northern (hut 'B'). One of four hut circles forming part of a partially enclosed settlement. They are linked by a length on enclosure walling, suggesting that they probably pre-date the enclosure.
The northern hut survives as a 1.7m wide and 0.6m high double orthostatic wall surrounding a 5m diameter internal area. The 0.5m wide doorway faces south-south-east and is flanked on the east side by a large faced boulder.
