Milestone marked, Barnstaple 12. M.S. A benchmark is also indicated.

Jenkinson, T., 2012, B3217/UC/B3042 Barnstaple to Crediton via High Bickington, Labbetts Cross and Morchard Bishop (Un-published). SDV366881.

Site visit 26th August 2005. Milestone about 250m east of Northcote Cross. On the grass verge by the telegraph pole on the north side of the road. Inscribed 12/BARUM. It is a small, tombstone type milestone set up c.1879 to commemorate the closure of the turnpike. It also has a very worn OS benchmark on the face. At risk from damage from grass cutting.
