Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Milestone marked as M.S. Barnstaple 11. A benchmark is also indicated.

Jenkinson, T., 2012, B3217/UC/B3042 Barnstaple to Crediton via High Bickington, Labbetts Cross and Morchard Bishop (Un-published). SDV366881.

Site visit 17th April 2009. Milestone 5m north of Dole Park East Cross fingerpost, in the hedgebank on the south side of the road. Inscribed 11/BARUM. It is a small, tombstone type milestone set up c.1879 to commemorate the closure of the turnpike. It is a worn granite stone with a benchmark below the inscription. It is generally in good condition but at risk from being overgrown with vegetation.
