Site visit 19th April 2006. Milestone about 200m west of the old toll house at Colleton and 10m west of the bridge, on the grass verge on the south side of the road. Inscribed 15/BARUM. It is a small, tombstone type milestone set up c.1879 to commemorate the closure of the turnpike. Now in poor condition, worn and difficult to read. The top left hand edge has been damaged by a grass cutter.
