Milestone marked as, Torrington…3 M. S.

Jenkinson, T., 2007-2011, Okehampton to Great Torrington A386/UC (Report - Survey). SDV347988.

Site visit 8th August 2008. Milestone on the A386 about 50m north of Mrytle Cottage, deep in the hedge on the west side of the road. Dates to the c.1820s. Inscribed 'To/Torrington/3/Miles'. The site is wet and prone to flooding, and the stone has suffered water damage at its base.
