Full description
Baring Gould, S., 1898, Fifteenth Report of the Committee of Devonshire Folklore, 90 (Article in Serial). SDV258013.
St. Leonard's Well is in a field belonging to the glebe, each of the church. The water was piped to the roadside at SX 559677 where a canopy was built with fragments from the old east window of the church.

It was mentioned in a 16th century boundary deed. The building over the well dates to 1911 .

(29/08/1980) There is nothing to indicate a spring or well in the fields east of the church around SX 560676, though a water-filled channel, draining fields to the north, runs to the present well-head at SX 56076762. (See ground photograph) which is a modern structure, utilizing church fragments, and measuring 0.8m. square and 1.4m. high.
