Summary

Hut Circle '25a' of 4 metres diameter with walls 1 metre wide by up to 0.9 metres high at Watern Oke settlement. Boundaries extend to the east and south. Excavations in 1905 revealed an unpaved earth floor, flint scrapers, cooking and pounding stones

Anderson, I. K., 1906, 11th Report of the Dartmoor Exploration Committee, 106, hut 25a (Article in Serial). SDV337055.

One of a group of about 94 hut circles at Watern Oke. Hut 25a; diameters 20 feet and 14 feet (4.27m). A good specimen, probable entrance at south, unpaved earth floor, flint scrapers, and cooking and pounding stones found.

(1992) SX56448353 Hut circle terraced into the hillslope. Simple plan and coursed stone walls type. Interior measures 4m in diameter and is defined by a 1m wide wall standing up to 0.9m high. Excavations by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee in 1905 revealed an unpaved earth floor, flint scrapers, cooking and pounding stones.
