Full description
Anderson, I. K., 1906, 11th Report of the Dartmoor Exploration Committee, 101-113 (Article in Serial). SDV337055.
One of a group of about 94 hut circles at Watern Oak. Hut 28; diameter 3.67 metres. A well built and well shaped dwelling with entrance to south-east and fireplace at north; some pieces of flint were found.

Visited in 1992. Hut circle terraced into the hillslope. Simple plan and rubble bank type. Interior of the structure measures 3.8 metres in diameter, defined by a 1.1 metres wide wall standing up to 0.7 metres high. Doorway faces south-east and is partially blocked. Excavations by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee in 1905 revealed a fire-place against the north wall, a possible stone bench and some pieces of flint.
