Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Rectangular building shown on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map.

Griffith, F. M., 1988, Untitled Source (Personal Comment). SDV346455.

Site visit 12th December 1988. Just inland from where the present coastal footpath bridge crosses a stream is a small building beside (south of) the stream. The situation is right in the bottom of the stream's ravine, adjacent to the water. Small building, very ruinous, standing circa 1.5 metres high on all sides except the streamward one. Chimney in east wall. Very odd situation for a cottage, but no obbious trace of its being a mill. Enigmatic. Not shown on the 1963 6 inch Ordnance Survey map.

Waterhouse, R., 2000, Untitled Source (Personal Comment). SDV346462.

Likely to be a mining structure associated with East Portlemouth Consols. Other details: Marked up map in parish file.

Newman, P., 2003, Deckler's Cliff Field System, East Portlemouth (Report - Survey). SDV346460.

Ruin of 18th-19th century building shown on survey of Deckler's Cliff field system.
