Visited in 1968. Number 72 Fore Street. A small house with timber-framed front, probably filling the original side passage of Number 74.

Dated 18/07/1978. Later 18th century, altered early 19th century. 3 storeys. 2 windows. Small house filling the original side passage of Number 74, but still retaining the "deux corps de batiments" plan type with detached rear block approached by gallery. Hipped Welsh slate roof. Timber framed with rusticated plaster front. Console-bracketed cornice. Jettied first floor carried on projecting dentil cornice of shopfront. Architraved sash windows with glazing bars. Early 19th century wooden shopfront; shop window with large panes; architraved shop doorway. Original open staircase with closed string, turned balusters and square newel.
