Full description

Department of Environment, 1978, Totnes, 69 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV342722.

Number 24 High Street, (south side). Early 19th century, refronted later 19th century. Home of John and Walter Venning who were 18th century- 19th century prison reformers in Russia (see tablet in parish church). 3 storeys. 2 windows. Hipped Welsh slate roof with rendered stack. Plastered front with plain eaves band and second floor band. Splayed-bay sash windows with pilasters and cornices, rise through first and second floors. Modern shop front. Included for group value.
