Full description
Department of Environment, 1978, Totnes, 70 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV342722.
Dated 16/03/1978. Number 30 High Street, (south side). Later 18th century. 3 storeys. 4 windows in pairs at first floor level. Welsh slate roof. Timber-framed, plastered front with rusticated pilaster strips on quoins masking masonry party walls. Architraved sash windows with glazing bars; 2 windows to second floor, 4 windows to first floor. Altered wooden shopfront with pilasters carrying entablature with projecting bracketed cornice. Modern restaurant front. House doorway with panelled reveals and boarded doors with moulded cover strips and wrought iron pegs. Interior with open well staircase with closed string, turned balusters and moulded handrail.
