Dated 16/03/1989. Number 52 High Street, (south side). Late 18th century refronting of a 17th century building. A deed of 1727 refers to this building as the Golden Lyon House. 3 storeys and dormer. 2 windows. Hipped Welsh slate roof. Timber-framed, plastered front with coved eaves cornice. Segmental-headed, sash dormer. Architraved sash windows with glazing bars. Ground floor loggia over pavement carried by granite Tuscan columns. Modern shopfront (citing M. Laithwaite).
