Full description
Anderson, I. K., 1906, 11th Report of the Dartmoor Exploration Committee (Article in Serial). SDV337055.
One of a group of hut circles at Watern Oak. Hut 70; diam 4m. A fine hut. Entrance at south marked by one upright stone. 36 cooking, rubber, and sling stones found, also some fine fractured slate quite smooth with use, a pointed piece of spar, and flints were found.

SX 5681 8334 Visited in 1992. Hut circle terraced into the hillslope. Simple plan and coursed walling type. Interior measures 4.2 metres in diameter and is defined by a 1.2 metres wide wall standing up to 0.8 metres high. Doorway faces south and is partly blocked with rubble. Excavations by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee in 1905, recovered cooking, rubbing and sling stones, a whetstone fragment, a pointed piece of spar and flints.

This monument includes ten stone hut circles situated on a gentle south facing slope overlooking the River Tavy and forming part of the large unenclosed stone hut circle settlement at Watern Oke.
