Currently filled with stagnant water, apparently natural drainage from ne. Bank c.1.5m high and 7m overall on lower sw side, becoming lower when it turns to ne (nmr citing os).

Vis=7/2/1982 (os) the "fishpond", 80m by 45m, has been dug into a slight sw slope well above the local river and it is difficult to see how (if ever) it was supplied with fresh water.
