An approximately oval shaped earthwork depression circa 70m by 25m extending into a ditch to the east is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The earthwork corresponds to an 'Old Gravel Pit' depicted on the First and Second Edition OS maps and is interpreted to be a post-medieval to 19th century in origin, ceasing extraction by the end of the 19th century. The ditch extending from the pit may have been an access track, or may be modern infrastructure associated with an adjacent mid to late 20th century building.
