Full description

Department of Environment, 1985, Braunton, 12 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV73918.

Long shippon approximately 10 metres west of West Saunton farmhouse, 18th century. Whitewashed rendered cob with slate roof. Has 4 plank doors with timber lintels, with window openings to each side of door at lower end, slit openings and window opening between 2 central doors. Formerly floored over with loft door towards lower end, but all internal partitions removed and roof trusses replaced in 20th century. Other details: 7/62.
