Full description

Department of Environment, 19/03/1973, Bideford, 25 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV341487.

Early 19th century, 3 storey 2 windows, sash, with glazing bars. Stucco. Cornice with plain parapet above. Ground floor shop with alterations.


Department of National Heritage, 19/04/1993, Bideford, 134 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV338459.

Shown on Ordnance Survey map as No 71A. House, with shop. Mid 19th century. Solid rendered front. Roof not visible from street. 3 storeys; 2-windows range. Ground storey altered, but entablature and flanking consoles of late 19th century shop front survive. Upper-storey windows have plain architraves and continued sills; 2-paned sashes. Plain parapet. Interior not inspected.

Visited 14th August 1978 by Simon Timms. Proposed rebuilding of shop and office destroyed by fire.
Visited 29th January 1979. Number 71 is a late 19th century pub, and 70 is the western part of the same building.
