Summary

Fields called Mill Park on Tithe Map, to the east of Kennel Wood near Kigbeare. The name could indicate the former site of a mill in the vicinity. If so, it could have been a windmill rather than a watermill.

Exeter Archaeology, 2004, Archaeological Assessment of Proposed Golf Course at Kigbeare Manor Farm, Southcott, Okehampton, 7 (Report - Assessment). SDV321807.

Three adjoining field names contain the words "mill park", although there does not appear to be a leat. They may, therefore, have been part of an estate that was leased with a mill.
