Name:Hut in settlement 700 metres south of Leeden Tor, Walkhampton

Summary

One of five huts built into the northern wall of the enclosure. Internal diameter measures 5.7 metres. Double orthostatic wall 2.0 metres wide, 0.8 metres high. Internal bank, 1.4 metres wide, 0.3 metres high may be either a partition or excavation baulk. A straight porch built against south wall measures 4.0 metres by 1.0 metres by 0.1 metres high.

One of a group of 13 hut circles and enclosure, south of Leeden Tor.
Visited 24/8/1950 (SX5618 7103) Hut L. Hut circle in ruinous condition. Diameter of remains approximately 7.5 metres. Width of double type wall is 1.5 metres, height 0.4 metres. This feature is much despoiled and the stone is spread over the interior and around it. Condition poor.
