Name:Hut in settlement 700 metres south of Leeden Tor, Walkhampton

Summary

Poorly preserved remains of a hut circle; one of five huts built into the northern wall of the enclosure. Internal diameter 6.0 metres. Coursed wall 2.0 metres wide, 0.8 metres high. A slit trench measuring 1.5 metres by 0.5 metres by 0.2 metres deep within the hut indicates military activity in the area.

One of a group of 13 hut circles and enclosure, south of Leeden Tor.
Visited 24/8/1950 (SX5621 7103) Hut M (site of). There are a number of stones scattered over the vicinity. The amount of stone would however, suggest that there was a hut circle here.
