Full description

Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

Visited in 1992. Hut circle at SX 5635 7100 internal diameter 2 metres. Rubble bank wall 1.2 metres wide, 0.3 metres high. Doorway to south lined with orthostats on its west side. Small slit trench immediately west of hut suggests re-use for military training.

Site Visited on 25th August 1950. One of a group of hut circles and enclosures. Hut 'L'. A small hut circle, much overgrown with turf and no apparent entrance. Condition fair, but much despoiled.4.0 metres diameter, 0.3 metres wall height.
Field Investigation on 4th August 1980. Centred at SX 56437103 is a settlement of twenty-five huts covering 3.1 hectares of a south and east hillslope at about 361 metres O.D. The area
is broken up by erosion runnels and quantities of surface clitter.
