Weddell, P. J., 1989, Untitled Source (Worksheet). SDV340821.
Chiswell? A lost medieval settlement. The 1332 subsidy includes John and Hugh - 'de Chisewille' - 'de Chiswill' under the Titheing of Langford in Ermington Hundred (citing Erskine). Fields named Western Chizwell and South Chizwell on a map of 1797. A spring is shown on maps at SX69075717.
