A probable rectilinear double-ditched enclosure of likely later prehistoric or Roman date is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken between 1984 and 1999. The inner circuit is most clearly visible as an uninterrupted line of raised crops 1.5 metres wide in summer 1984, apparently having formed over the southern part of a rectilinear enclosure covering an area of circa 65 by a minimum of 25 metres. The outer enclosure is slightly narrower and only partially visible; the southern part is most clear, parallel to and circa 6 metres from the inner enclosure.
Many of the aerial photographs consulted are copies of DAPs held by the Historic England Archive. These have been recorded here as additional separate sources because there is a possibility that the prints may have been processed differently. This would potentially result in images on which archaeological features show slightly differently.
