A D-shaped enclosure of probable later-prehistoric date is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs of 1985 to 1990, on the south-east facing slopes west of New House Farm, Mamhead. The north, west and south edges of the enclosure are defined by three roughly parallel enclosure ditches, visible as cropmarks of between 2 and 5 metres width. The eastern boundaries are not visible as cropmarks on the images available to the survey. The visible cropmarks define an enclosure up to circa 90 by 80 metres in size.
