Early 19th century granite milestone. Square section monolith with deep cut lettering which reads 'Lamerton 3 miles Tavistock 2 miles Mary Tavy 2 miles.

Jenkinson, T., 2005 - 2008, A386 Tavistock to Okehampton (Report - Survey). SDV323813.

(06/08/2004) Milestone situated in fork of two minor roads near Grendon. Not on A386. A tall granite pillar, 155cm high. Worn with some chips to top edges. Inscribed 'Lamer ton 3 miles to Tavistock 2 1/2 miles Mary Tavy 2 miles'. Dates from c1762.
