Full description

Seymour, D. J., 1977, Torre Abbey. An Account of its History, Buildings, Cartularies and Lands, 189 (Monograph). SDV340436.

A monk's cemetery is said to be at a spot some 300 yards beyond the house of Upcott Barton. One sees a rectangular depression in a large meadow bordered on two sides by sweet-smelling limes. This ground is never ploughed or disturbed in any way.

Anderson, Mr., 2008, Conversation with A. M. Dick (Personal Comment). SDV340439.

Landowner places the site just south of former orchard and east of former footpath.
