Vis=-/-/1989 (ndas) mill cottages. A local resident, remembers that there used to be a flour mill here. The mill leat may still be visible near the humpback bridge (ndas).

Vis=estimated -/-/1994 (watermills) ngr=ss566303 a previous report refers to the remains of a wheel pit that can be seen from the bridge, but local resident pointed to a single-storey building near the bridge which, he said, was the remains of the mill building (originally much taller) and that the mill cottages stood just beyond. Leat in good condition. Mill reported to have been used as a saw-mill before wwii (watermills).

'tawton mills' described in 1796 as consisting of three mill rooms with three waterwheels as well as a house, orchard and meadow (bodman).
