Site visit 25th June 1980. A roughly oval field with diameters of 58.0 metres by 64.0 metres and a modern perimeter wall 1.5 metres high. There are no obvious footings of a previous wall but the plan and size (0.25 hectares) suggest that it is the fossilization of a prehistoric enclosure similar to that 250 metres to the north-east. NMR No. SX57SE53. Record last updated: N/A

Watts, S., 23/12/2013, Routrundle Pounds (Personal Comment). SDV355385.

Both north and south pounds are similar in size and shape to Cornish rounds which are Iron Age/Romano British in date.

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, Unknown, SX57SE53 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV272231.

Site visit 28th August 1950. The plan of this field is suggestive of an ancient enclosure and two circular cropmarks appear within it on aerial photographs although there is no trace of hut circles.
