Full description

Department of Environment, 1988, Dolton, 27 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV598.

Outbuilding immediately to south east of Cherubeer Manor.
Reputedly a former forge but this is unlikely to be original use. Uncertain date; possibly c18. Cob and rubble walls. Gable-ended slate roof.
Plan: small rectangular 1-room plan.
Exterior: 1 storey. Asymmetrical front with a 2-centred arched chamfered medieval doorframe to left which has almost certainly been re-used from the manor house. Extending to the right of the building as far as the road is a traditional cob and tiled wall.
