Shown as three adjoining buildings on 19th century map in a long narrow enclosure on the north side of the road.

Winscott in Upcott is a small house built in the early 18th century with a mid to late 20th century addition. Rendered cob and rubble walls under a gable-ended thatch roof. Two 20th century rubble gable-end stacks. Plan: originally probably one-room plan heated by fireplace at right-hand end. 19th century leanto at right-hand end. 20th century one-room extension built at left-hand end. Exterior: two storeys with asymmetrical three-window front, left-hand windows are in extension which is slightly recessed. All mid to later 20th century 2-light ovolo-moulded wooden mullion windows. Thatch roofed porch to left of centre with 20th century plank door behind. The 1st floor windows have small gables above. Leanto against right-hand end. Interior: open fireplace with rough wooden lintel. Ceiling beams have been replaced.
