Full description

Department of Environment, 1989, Little Torrington, 98 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV12088.

Pair of headstones immediately to east of aisle of church of St. Giles. Pair of headstones. Dated 1778 and 1741 to Esther Arnold and Margery Golding. Slate. The left-hand arnold headstone is straight-headed with decoration around edges, skull and crossbones carved in head with winged angel's head to either side. Right-hand golding headstone is roundheaded with inscribed winged angel's head.
