Circa 1912-14 stone rubble with ashlar dressings. High-quality slated roof of small slates to gatehouse and cottage, with stone-coped gable at right hand end and brick stack at left-hand end. Gatehouse has tall, wide opening with 4-centred arch; studded plank double doors with ornate wrought-iron strap-hinges. To right a similar small door into 2-storeyed section: to right again, 2 slit windows in ground storey and one in second storey. Cottage to left is 2 windows wide; segmental-headed windows with 6-pane bevel sashes in ground storey, casements with leaded lights, rising slightly above eaves-level, in second storey perhaps later. Rear arch of gatehouse has curtis arms above and flanking buttresses, the outer faces of these buttressed in turn. Inner gate simply a large opening with 4-centred arch, set in boundary well with pitched coping. Connecting walls similar. North wall has large opening, similar to inner gate but with raised parapet above. In each wall, at north-east end, small matching doorways with round arches and raised parapets over; doorway on south (into garden) has plank door with ornate strap-hinges.
