Full description

Clarke, K. M., 1916, The Baptismal Fonts of Devon. Part 4, 310 (Article in Serial). SDV145498.

Parish church. Fluted bowl, oval in plan and shallow. Shaft lengthened by insertion of two courses of shaped stones. Lower part of shaft projects about 25mm beyond this construction, chamfered at top. Shaft may have once been wider at bottom than top. Nearly perfect condition, repaired with cement on east and west faces, traces of whitewash. Dressing vertical. Round moulding at rim. Of grey local stone. Not lined. Other details: Plate 4.
