Large area of quarrying to either side of Locksey's Lane shown on OS map of 1890. Extends north to SY 1946 8978 and south to SY 1965 8933. SMR records two separate quarries within this area as being shown as old/disused on 1:10560 map of 1906 and 1963 at SY 1953 8965 and 1971 8940.
