Three quarry pits of probable post medieval date at Culverhole are depicted on the Ordnance Survey first edition 25 inch map and annotated as Old Quarry or Quarry. The pits are also clearly visible on images derived from Lidar data captured from 1998 to 2012 which reveals that the site labelled as Old Quarry comprises two individual pits. As the pits are clearly defined on the historic Ordnance Survey map they have not been transcribed as part of the survey.
