The two eastern pits are recorded on SMR as shown on Ordnance Survey maps of 1906 and 1963; these are still marked on modern map.

An 'Old Chalk Pit' is shown on the First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps. The location of this quarry coincides with a 'Coppice' within plot 110 on the Axmouth Tithe Map of 1842. The site is still present on the Ordnance Survey Master Map, although it is now labelled as a 'Pit (disused).'
