Full description
Worth, R. H., 1949, The Moorstone Age, Part 1, 329 (Article in Serial). SDV274816.
Rare upper stone in parish church. Upper stone, diameter of working part 5.75in. Grinding face slightly concave. Stone 2.7/8in thick. Eye 1.25in diameter with rynd chase on underside. The trough of the lower stone was only about 6in diameter and 1in deep. Suggested that not used for grinding flour as the output would have been so small.
