Dodbrook Farmhouse. Farmhouse. Circa 17th century, extended in 18th century, remodelled in early 19th century and extended in late 19th century. Slate tablet on front inscribed "Llias Stranger 1806". Cement washed stone rubble. Asbestos slate roof with gabled ends. Rendered stone axial stack with set-offs.
Plan: Three-room and through passage plan, the demolished lower end might have been a shippon, the passage survives and the axial hall stack backs onto passage. Circa 18th century parlour wing parallel at rear of higher end. Two storeys. 3-window range. 19th and 20th century casements with glazing bars. Ground floor centre larger 4-light hall window in segmental-headed opening. To left through passage doorway with glazed door and wide 19th century gabled porch.
Interior: hall has open fireplace with reused timber lintel. Thin chamfered hall ceiling beam with ogee steps. This beam continues into inner room with similar steps. Inner room partition plastered. Much of the 18th century joinery intact, including fielded panel doors, dog-leg staircase in rear wing with splat balusters and tapered newel with head moulded corners. There was once an adjoining house at the north-west end.
