Summary

Small three-sided structure of 4.2 metres by 2.4 metres with wall 0.8 metres wide by up to 1.6 metres high located 10 metres south of Langridge Field within Langridge Newtake. It is probably related to the activity at Langridge Field though there is no evidence to suggest its function.

Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1987-1993, Duchy Farms Project Survey Visit, S. Probert (Report - Survey). SDV350839.

(02/05/1990) SX 6447 8537. A small three-sided structure 10m south of Langridge Field within Langridge Newtake. Measuring 4.2m north-south by 2.4m east-west this building has walls 0.8m wide up to 1.6m high and is open at the north end. The interior is obscured by rubble and no features are visible. It is probably related to the activity at Langridge Field though there is no evidence to suggest its function.

(May 1990) 7m to the south of 'Longridge Field' (SX68NW/110) lies a small ruined building. Walls an irregular rectangle, internal dimensions 4.6 to 5.2m east-west; 3.6 to 4.3m north-south. Maximum wall height 0.9m. Filled with tumble. No clear entrance or fireplace.
