Cobblestones (formerly listed as Bullers Cottage).
Cottage, originally part of larger house. Circa early c16. Plastered stone rubble as columns. Steeply pitched asbestos slate roof with gabled ends. (Catslide roof at rear over outshut). Large rendered chimney stack at left hand (west) gable end with set-offs.
Probably originally a three room and through passage plan, and possibly originally divided by low screens. The east end has been entirely rebuilt and is now separate dwelling (willow trees) and not included. Floored circa late c16 or early c17. Later outshut at rear. One storey and attic. Two window range. Small c20 casements. Two gabled dormers at eaves level. Plank door at centre.
Interior: three chamfered ceiling beams with step stops. Timber fireplace lintel in west gable end, chamfered with run-out stops. Roof: four trusses with morticed apices and dovetail lap-jointed collars, side-pegged. Threaded purlins and diagonal ridge piece, one tier of purlins visible, the lower tier shows in first floor rooms. Some of the rafters survive. All the roof timbers are smoke-blackened, more heavily blackened over east end which was originally the centre and therefore the hall.
