Summary

An early 19th century parish boundary stone or milestone, now badly eroded and the inscription illegible. There is a faint benchmark on the lower right hand face. The stone, which dates from c.1822, is a different shape to the other milestones along the route.

Full description

Jenkinson, T., 2005 - 2025, Old A30 Launceston to Exeter (Report - Survey). SDV323480.

Site visits: 23rd May 2004 and 15th September 2024. A parish boundary stone or milestone situated at Lobhill Cross, about 50m west of Lobhill Lodge on grass verge by fence on north side of road. It has two faces but is so badly eroded that nothing can be read. There is a faint benchmark on the lower right hand face. The stone, which dates from c.1822, is a different shape to the other milestones along the route.
