Full description

English Heritage, 2012, National Heritage List for England (National Heritage List for England). SDV348729.

Wayne chest tomb about 3 metres south-east of the chancel of the church of St. Michael. Early 19th century. White freestone and local grey limestone. The chest has sunk panels of grey limestone and an oversailing lid. The inscription on the east end commemorates James Waye, died 1801. Date listed: 28th April 1987.
