Summary
A possible ditch-defined oval enclosure of probable later prehistoric to Roman date was visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of the 1980s on the south-facing slopes to the north-west of Bidwell. The western edge of the possible enclosure was not visible as a cropmark, probably obscured by the deeper soils of a slight hollow.

A possible ditch-defined oval enclosure, potentially consisting of two conjoined enclosures of probable later prehistoric to Roman date, was visible as a cropmark on the south-facing slopes to the north-west of Bidwell on aerial photographs of 1984 and 1985. The main enclosure is almost 50 metres in diameter and very slight curvilinear cropmark might be evidence of an internal division or structure circa 20 metres across. The western edge of the possible enclosure was not visible as a cropmark, probably obscured by the deeper soils of a slight hollow. A possible annexe approximately 10 to 12 metres wide is visible abutting the southern edge of the main enclosure, enclosing two, or possible three small and pale circular cropmark features of unknown function.
