Elongated oval depression extending 90m s from dunchideock road along w side of track to radio mast. This merges at its n end with an area of linear depressions that extends 125m nw along s side of dunchideock road, and 60m s of it. The depressions are 1-2m wide, 2m (max) deep.

A large quarry, probably a gravel pit circa 175 by 70 metres in size, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946. The visible earthworks correspond closely to a quarry depicted on the Ordnance Survey Second Edition map of circa 1904-1906. This is a much-expanded quarry from the small, 35 metres by 12 metres pit depicted on the late 19th Ordnance Survey First Edition map. The half of the pit west of a field boundary remains visible as an earthwork on images derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The eastern portion may have been levelled.
The earthworks were not transcribed by the South Devon to Dartmoor AI&M survey.
