A small possible ditched pit or enclosure is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark on a west facing slope to the east of Up Exe, overlooking the Exe Valley. The central possible ditched feature is oval or sub-rectangular in shape and measures approximately 18 by 13 metres in size. This is located within a possible narrow ditched, roughly D-shape enclosure roughly 40 by 30 metres in size. The date and function of the possible enclosure are unknown, but it might be evidence of a later prehistoric feature such as a barrow or small enclosed settlement.
