Summary

Cairn or hut circle 'C' in Whittenknowles Rocks settlement. Recorded in 1950 as a very small hut circle of 4 metres diameter with walls 0.3 metres high of small stones and turf; no obvious entrance. The 1999 and 2017 surveys identify this feature as a clearance cairn, not a hut of 6.0 metres internal diameter by 0.9 metres high.
