Full description
Department of Environment, 1988, Ashton, 15 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV284341.
Former Wheelwright's shop south east of Beggars Roost GV II Workshop, formerly wheelwright's shop. Probably C18 or early C19. Cob and stone rubble with steeply-pitched corrugated iron roof, hipped at ends (formerly thatched). Plan: Rectangular on plan with an entrance on the west (left) end. Exterior: Single storey. The left end hasa large timber door to the right and a large window glazed with lapped glass to the left. Single window on right return, facing the road; corrugated iron ventilator on roof. Interior: not inspected. Forms a group with Pitman's Cottage and Beggars Roost.
