Milestone approx 0.5m south of east end of north parapet wall of Calves Bridge. Wayside milestone. Early C19. Granite. Round-headed upright stone slab inscribed in demi-bold Roman serif letters 'XVI miles from Exon'.

Site visit 5th April 2006. Milestone about 300m south-east of Eastington Cross at south end of bridge, on verge on east side of road. Inscribed XVI/Miles/From/Exon. The stone, which dates from c.1773, is set at a slight angle, close to the road edge. It is worn and chipped.
