Site visit 15/03/1996. At SS71570112. This barrow survives as a sub-circular ditch measuring 30 metres in diameter and aerial photographs indicate a feature of unknown function lying within its interior. Monument Protection Programme fieldwork was carried out in ideal climatic conditions and despite this no trace of a mound could be seen during the visit.

Department of National Heritage, 1997, Two Bowl Barrows 250 metres North of Natson Farm (Schedule Document). SDV343179.

This monument includes two bowl barrows, aligned broadly east-west, 250 metres north of Natson Farm, Bow and 140 metres south-east of the River Yeo, in a low lying field occupying a slightly raised spur of land. This monument forms part of a complex of ritual and funerary monuments centred around the village of Bow. The area is also associated with the placename `Nymett' which is thought to have sacred Celtic significance. The western barrow is sub-circular, and aerial photographs indicate it to have an internal feature and a 30 metres diameter quarry ditch, all of which are preserved as buried features.
